About Urdu Department

All Praises be to Allaah.

Respected Brother / Sister, Assalamalaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkatahu.

Many Urdu-speaking expatriates do not get an opportunity to learn true Islam under the light of the Quran and Sunnah in anorganized way with academic programs. Also, they do not get an opportunity to participate in physical activities like sports etc. Hence the purpose of establishing Al Hedaya Center Urdu Department is to provide a platform for Men, Women& Children to Learn True Islam in the light of the Quran & Sunnah, and to engage them in sports of their choice.

Among the Sadaqa Jariyah, are our children, and their deeds depend on how much Islamic knowledge they acquire and how physically fit they are. Al Hedaya Center provides a platform for acquiring knowledge and acting upon the teachings along with their physical activities.

As parents, we try to fulfil all their wishes and needs as much as we can. Are we preparing them to be practicing Muslims? Are we making them to be a continuous reward for us after we die? Are we giving them an opportunity to explore their physical talent in their favourite sports? Hence Al Hedaya Center has taken this privilege to establish a center to cater the needs of expatriates and their families.

Al Hedaya Center is working on various activities from past 5 years by and under the supervision of Qualified Scholars, by conducting, Weekly Academic Courses, Tafseer Al Quran, Classes of Fiqh, monthly programs, and Daily Lectures in various Masjids etc. Upon successful completion of academic courses, more than 120 Volunteers are engaged in delivering lectures in Ramzan, doing Da’Wah to non-Muslim expatriate community living in Bahrain and various social welfare activities etc. More than 20 volunteers are engaged in specialized activities like, translating Jummah Khutba in Urdu language, delivering Bi-Weekly, Weekly and Monthly lectures at various locations.

“The ink of the scholar is more sacred than the blood of the martyr”

Enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil is a mission that will never end until the Hour begins. It is obligatory upon all the ummah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; and if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by feeling that it is wrong] – and that is the weakest of faith.” (Muslim, 49)

And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful (Quran 3:104).

Enjoining what is good (al-ma’roof) and forbidding what is evil (al-munkar) is one of the most important Islamic duties, indeed it is the most noble and most sublime work. This is the task of the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them all), as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “You (true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allaah” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:110]

No matter how righteous a person may be, he still needs sincere advice, guidance and reminders in the light of the Qur’aan and Sunnah. Allaah said to the Messenger: “O Prophet! Keep your duty to Allaah, and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites (i.e., do not follow their advice). Verily, Allaah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise” [al-Ahzaab 33:1]

So we must all enjoin that which is good and forbid that which is evil, so that we may attain the Pleasure of Allaah and His Paradise.

Running a non-profit organization requires effort, time, and money. By the grace of Almighty Allah we have resources to put effort and time. We appeal to everybody to spend in this holy cause by donating generously for the operations of the center smoothly to educate Expatriate Ummah.
